I haven’t shared a recipe with you lately. Here is what I made for myself when Kathy was gone for the weekend. If you like sausage and sauerkraut this will work for you. There was plenty of leftovers. And it is low fat, low sodium.
1 Hillshire Farm Lite Polska Kielbasa
1 can Frank’s Sweet Bavarian Style Sauerkraut.
1 can Swanson reduced sodium Chicken Broth
1 onion diced
1 apple cut in wedges.
Fry the onion in olive oil. Dump in the can of kraut and can of broth. Top with sausage cut into four pieces and the sliced apple. Get boiling and then cover an simmer for an hour. Enjoy!

I think we drove by the Franks’s cabbage farm on the way to the retreat. That’s a lot of cabbage.
Yes, they even named the town after the cabbage man – Franksville!
mmmmmmmmm…… and mmmmmmmm again!
with infinite (hunger) hope, Jim
Thanks for sharing. It sounds delicious – and Weight-Watcher approved besides.
It’s the apple that makes it so intriguing. It’ll be tomorrow’s lunch . . . maybe dinner too.
