Good Morning! Even though the sun is not up you are getting ready for work and you clicked to see this blog.
I realize there is a portion of my faithful blog readers who check this blog out very early in the day. That is why I sometimes publish a new blog post before 4 am in the morning! Like I did today. (YAWN)
However, I don’t know if you are reading this in your PJ’s, clothes, before you leave your house or after you get to work., or you are retired and have nothing better to do than surf the web!
I could put up a survey asking for your preferences. But most readers will just not do it for fear of being found out. Not to worry. I only get statistics of how many and what times my blog gets the most hits. I know that Fridays, when I post a poem, has the lowest readers of the week. This tells me that poetry does not interest the majority of my blog readers. Maybe I should quit on the poems? No, you say. Okay, for now.
A personal photo seems to get more readers. And when I lay out my personal feelings on a hot topic – wow the stats go way up. So here I ask: On which “hot topics” would you like me to share my opinion? I hope I get 7 comments from you. Go ahead and leave a comment!
Okay, first of all, I’m one of those early risers that pops in at Lakeview as soon as I’ve thanked God for the day and brushed my teeth (forgive me if not necessarily in that order.) Point being I DO appreciate your early posts and I thank you for occasionally yawning your way through them.
Now about this “retired and have nothing better to do than surf the web” Aren’t you ashamed of yourself Steven James Pedersen! (Hey, I’m not the least offended, just having fun at your expense.)
Regarding Friday poems – they’re so delightful. However, the minute YOU feel Friday MUST be poetry day, your fun in writing them must take a nose dive. So – write us an “Ode of Farewell to the Friday poem” and go back to pleasantly surprising us when the mood strikes you. – Oh-my-goodness, it could even be on a Wednesday!
Finally, hot issues should be yours to choose. It’s YOUR blog site, you can say what you want to, say what you want to

I am ashamed of the brash comment about “retired people.” I have made the correction. I realize that many retired people are busier than their working a job days. I will seek professional help and amend may wayward words. Thanks you for the kind rebuke. This will cause me to measure carefully my words that sail out into the digital universe. The anchor is now found to keep me from drifting onto the shores of rocky linguistic wreckage.
