Congratulations on the 1000th post. It is thought provoking and fun.

Related to the Sheb Press column, I am reading Randy Pausch's book The Last Lecture. The football coach he had as a boy was tough. Randy's conclusion was self-esteem cannot be given away, but earned. You give them something they cannot do and after learning and enough practice they will realize there are things we cannot do today, but with practice will beable to do tomorrow. That is where self-esteem comes from.

1000 posts!!! Congratulations and THANK YOU. From God's Word to Pedersen insights to delightful silliness, you've kept us informed and entertained.

I first discovered Lakeview in January 2006 and haven’t missed a post since - Hey, wouldn’t think of it. :-) My favorites? Pedersen poetry. In previous years there were occasional thoughtful poems with accompanying Pedersen photography. You know my favorite, “The Bridge Poem.” (7-31-06) Now we’re treated to poems every Friday. BTW, Poems by Pedersen would make a delightful book!

Thanks for all those times when you’ve struggled for words. Thanks too for other times when inspiration came so fast your fingers could hardly keep up. Beyond the pulpit you touch lives at Lakeview. Keep up the good work sheblogan.
