Andy laid three Bibles open to Old Testament texts which mentioned “ashes.” These were on a table in the back of the sanctuary for people to read as they came to the Ash Wednesday service last night
Last year we had to cancel due to very lousy, stormy weather. The weather was not ideal for this year either. Cruel February. But we went ahead in the freezing drizzle. I can’t wait to make ashes with the Weber Grill when Lent is over and instead of drizzle I hear sizzle.
