Well, I had another first in my life today. Chest X-Rays!
I went to the Walk-in Clinic this morning complaining of a hacking cough. Since my sister and brother-in-law came down with pneumonia I was worried that I had something like that. So the Dr. ordered X-Ray’s to be safe.
The technician had to take more slides than usual because, “Tall people like you with long longs don’t fit on the film.” Never knew I had long lungs. Blame my Viking ancestors, I guess. They needed big lungs to row those ships and also yell for help when Olga was upset with the cheap loot brought back from a raid on Ireland. No wonder I always won the “holding your breath under water contest” at the local pool.
After all was said and done – I have some allergies causing post-nasal drip which makes me cough and clear my throat plus causes some hoarseness. It is that time of year in Sheboygan again. The good news – Spring must be here since I must start with the antihistamine meds again. O joy…
