When you reach the last line
Just before the light closes the book
Think about its genesis.
One blank page,
God’s gift to write with your
deeds, words, prayers, thoughts.
Your life this one 24 hour day.
Can’t go back and erase some careless line.
The ink is permanent.
But Confession is the great editor
And Gratitude the perfect publisher.
