I thank you for the evangelist Patrick,

Who spoke your gospel to the Celtic clans.

Lord Jesus, Savior Divine,

You called Patrick to be who he was

and more so as a converted follower of your ways and will;

Thank you for calling us from hopelessness to humor

so that we might enjoy simple gifts given

from earth below and heaven above.

Holy Spirit, fire and passion,

breathe into us the joy of heaven

and green us up to bend in the winds of change.
