Last night we concluded our Lenten Bible study with a brief worship service. I gave each participant a candle. Then we all went to the altar to light our individual candles from a “Christ” candle saying the phrase, “I take my light from you, Lord.” We read scripture and prayed and then went back to the altar for communion. We placed our candles among the flowers saying, “I stand with you, Lord Christ.”
It was a meaningful preparation for Holy Week devotions.
The service was soul felt, also beautiful, as is the photo. Thank you.

Pastor Steve and all…..I am very sorry that I missed last night. I was at St. Nicholas Hospital sitting with my handyman, Tom, who is very close to going home to our Lord and Savior. His two daughters are here from Florida and Tennessee and I felt the need to sit with them for a while. He is 85 years old and they have pulled the life support but give him morphine for comfort. It sounds like you had a wonderful evening and I am sorry I wasn’t there. See you on Sunday. Pat
